Latino Leadership and Imposter Syndrome: Bridging the Gap

For many Latino leaders, the feeling of being an "imposter" is often tied to being the "first" or the "only" in the room. It’s time to move the conversation away from individual doubt and toward a collective understanding of identity and belonging.

IIn the corporate world, Imposter Syndrome is often discussed as a private hurdle—a quiet voice of doubt that high-achieving professionals are told they must “overcome.” But when we look closer, we realize it isn’t just a personal struggle. It is a byproduct of navigating spaces where representation has historically been thin, and the pressure to be perfect is the baseline for entry.

For many Latino leaders, the feeling of being an “imposter” is often tied to being the “first” or the “only” in the room. It’s time to move the conversation away from individual doubt and toward a collective understanding of identity and belonging.

A Conversation Driven by Experience

On January 27, 2026, we are gathering at Heritage Headquarters for a deep dive into the Latino leadership journey: Imposter Syndrome, Identity & Belonging.

This isn’t a surface-level DEI training. It is a story-driven panel featuring respected Arizona leaders who have navigated these invisible barriers and reached the highest levels of their fields. We are coming together to turn honest vulnerabilities into strategic leadership assets.

Latino Leadership and Imposter Syndrome: Bridging the Gap

The evening will explore:

  • The Root Causes: Identifying the professional and cultural origins of imposter syndrome.
  • The Identity Advantage: How language, culture, and background serve as unique leadership strengths.
  • The Evolution of Belonging: Navigating the national shift in DEI and what the next generation of leaders needs to succeed.

Voices of Authority: The Panel

Theory is useful, but experience is transformative. We have curated a panel of leaders who define what it means to lead with authenticity.

Victor Hugo Rodriguez: From navigating life as a Dreamer to becoming a News Correspondent for NBC-Telemundo, Victor’s journey is a testament to resilience. With over 18 years in journalism and public affairs, he brings a raw, necessary perspective on how our upbringings shape our professional armor.

Liliana Soto: A 9-time Emmy winner and strategic communications leader, Liliana sits at the intersection of media, policy, and community. Her experience navigating complex legislative environments and her tenure as faculty at the University of Arizona offer a masterclass in competence and confidence.

Moderated by Joshua Molina, Co-Founder of Palabra Media: Guiding this critical dialogue will be our own Co-Founder. As a team, we believe in the power of honest, clear communication. Josh will be steering the conversation away from safe “corporate speak” and into the real, tactical discussions that drive growth and understanding.

From Visibility to Authority

There is a profound difference between simply having a seat at the table and having the confidence to lead at it. Moving from “online visibility” to “market authority” requires more than just a title; it requires owning your story and your impact without apology.

Whether you are a rising professional, a corporate executive, or a community advocate, this session is designed to provide actionable tools and a stronger sense of community.
